These Terms and Conditions apply to all residential cleaning services provided by Home Sweet Shine to the client. By booking our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Services
We provide domestic (residential) cleaning services as agreed at the time of booking. Services are provided on a regular basis (weekly, fortnightly, monthly).
Any additional tasks requested that are not included in the original booking may incur additional charges and are subject to availability.
2. Bookings, Cancellations & Access
• Bookings can be made by phone, email, website, or social media.
• We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Cancellations made with less than 48 notice may be charged up to 100% of the service cost.
• If we cannot gain access to the property at the agreed time, the full service fee may be charged.
3. Pricing & Payment
• All prices are quoted in GBP (£).
• Prices are based on the information provided at booking. If the condition of the property differs significantly, we reserve the right to amend the price or time required.
• Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed.
• Accepted payment methods: bank transfer and cash
• Late payments may result in suspension of future services.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
• Provide safe access to the property at the agreed time.
• Ensure electricity, water, and normal working conditions are available.
• Secure or remove valuables, cash, jewellery, and fragile items prior to cleaning.
• Inform us in advance of any hazards, delicate surfaces, pets, or special instructions.
We are not responsible for damage caused by:
• Normal wear and tear
• Faulty or poorly installed items
• Pre-existing damage
• Items not suitable for cleaning
5. Cleaning Products & Equipment
• We will use your own products and equipment, we accept no liability for any damage or ineffective results.
• We reserve the right to refuse to use products that are unsafe or unsuitable.
6. Damage, Breakages & Liability
• We take reasonable care while working in your home.
• Any damage or breakage must be reported within 24 hours of the service.
• Our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or the cost of the affected item, at our discretion.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the service, please contact us within 24 hours of the clean. We will aim to resolve the issue, which may include a re-clean of the affected area at our discretion.
8. Health & Safety
We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if:
• Conditions are unsafe or unhygienic beyond reasonable expectations
• There is a risk to our staff’s health or safety
Full payment may still be required in these circumstances.
9. Regular Cleaning Services
For recurring services:
• Prices may be reviewed periodically.
• Missed cleans due to insufficient notice may still be chargeable.
• We may assign a different cleaner if required due to illness or holidays.
10. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services immediately in cases of:
• Non-payment
• Unsafe working conditions
• Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour
11. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect and use personal information solely for providing our services and managing bookings. All data is handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties unless legally required.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will apply to all future bookings.
